updates

Sorry everyone i know its been awile since i put an update on here....everything is going good in the thomas household. Brody is nine months old!! He is walking all over the place but is not very observant so he falls a lot. He can say dada, mama, nana, and baba, im still not sure if he knows what they mean but he says them lol. I feel like he gets cuter and cuter the older he gets. We love our new house and our new ward. We still dont have callings which has been kind of nice. I have just recently started a new job working 4 hours a day tutoring a 10 year old special needs boy from church. i like it a lot but i def miss brody while im gone. Pat and i just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We ate at ruths chris steak house and went to carowinds the next day. It was fun to go to a theme park but we learned that we are getting older by the minute because everytime we got off a ride we would talk about how rough it was or that we had a headache.
Towards the end of the trip i said "do you realize we have complained after every ride?" We both had a good laugh about that. Patrick is still working for the same company and doing well with his sales despite the hard economy. We miss everyone very much and are hoping to make a trip out by the end of the year.

Brody update

i just wanted to let everyone know Brody is crawling! he started about 3 days ago and is already all over the place. i also noticed his two front lower teeth are coming in too. so this has been a pretty exciting week!

family update

sorry everyone. I know it has been a long time since ive posted but we have been really busy. Brody is getting so big. He is so close to crawling. He gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. The other day he was sitting in his crib and playing with a toy that is hooked to the side. When I turned around he had pulled himself up and was standing! I guess its time to move the crib down. We will be moving into our new house in about two weeks! I am soo excited! My mom is still out of town taking care of her husband who was in a motorcycle wreck. He is progressing slowly ands moving to a rehab tomorrow. Patrick is working hard at his job and at church. We have a new missionary that actually cares about missionary work so that is good! lol

I am getting ready for fathers day and trying to come up with a cute and thoughtful present for my hubby!

Isn't he so cute!? Sorry its been so long since i have posted but ive been busy with my couponing and doing a little fill in work at a dentist office. This past month i was also called to serve as secretary in the relief society. I am making it my duty to liven it up a little bit in there. So we will see. The triathalon training isnt going very well and competing is looking doubtful lol. My husband on the other hand is getting ripped and has been going to the gym at 6 am every morning for about 3 weeks. I am very proud of him. I figure i still have a few months of blaming my weight on Brody! Tomorrow we are driving to nasheville to meet aunt pammie. We are all excited. We also cant wait to see mom and dad in about 2 weeks!! We are trying our best to get into a new place before then so we will have room, but we will see...anyway hope eveyone is doing good!

Florida!

This week Brody and I went with my mom to Florida for a little vacation. Patrick had to work and couldn't come :( It was raining on Monday which was a bummer but the second and third day were perfect. We went to the beach on Tuesday and I got so burned. We took up about a half a mile with our stuff to entertain Brody. He was a little angel as always but didnt like the ocean too much. As soon as I put his feet in he started crying. Then on Wednesday we went to see the orlando temple and visit the distribution center and bookstore. The temple was soo beautiful. The landscaping and the blue skies were perfect. The pictures can't compare. The first pic is of Brody trying his first sucker. Don't worry he only got a couple licks for picture purposes. The second is him playing mickey...soo cute. The third and forth are of the temple. And the last one is of Brody in the tub in his new float. The pool was too cold so we did what we could... lol my sister said it was pretty redneck but he had fun so i dont care.

This video is of Patrick on our honeymoon. It is hilarious because he didn't know i was filming him to begin with and then this bee just happened to fly up and the rest is history.

The first picture is of brody on his blessing day. He is on the blanket that his great grandma myers made him. It was a very special day.

The picture is proof that patrick can talk his mom into almost anything! It was taken when they came out to visit us and we took them on a 4 mile hike in the mountains that took us to a dried up waterfall! It was definately an experience.

Now for an update...Everything is going good here in NC. Brody is growing so much. He weighs 13lbs 11ozs and is 241/2 inches long. He is definitely going to be tall like his dad. He is laughing and talking all the time now. He loves to take baths and grabbing his feet. Patrick is a great mission leader and is working really hard to motivate our missionaries. I still don't have a calling but i am enjoying the interesting conversations i get to hear in the relief society! I am hoping we will get to see some of our utah fam sometime soon. I know gma linda and aunt pammie want to come and we miss everyone out there. We still aren't sure if we will make it out in July or not but we will see!

well we took brody to get some new pictures and they are sooo cute. my sister talked us into going to a new place by her house called portrait innovations. i was a little iffy because we have already bought a years package to olan mills. but we went anyway and the place was amazing. i could tell such a difference in the photographers and the products they used. i loved all the poses and backgrounds that they had. the one in the clouds reminds me of a toilet paper package! i also love the little golf one with his hand in his pocket!...anyway it was good. some other big news is patrick and i are going to attempt a "sprint" triathlon in may! it is going to take a lot of training and determination but i think we can do it. it is a goal that i definitely want to prove to myself i can do. i will keep you posted!!

Happy Birthday To ME!!

Here are some new pictures of Brody. I thought that they showed off his many emotions well. He is getting so big! I can't believe he is already 3 months old! At our last apointment he weighed 11lbs and 7 oz and was 23 inches long! He is talking and smiling all the time. It is funny to hear him and Patrick have a conversation. I guess they speak the same language! He has also been doing really well at night. He only wakes up between 3 and 4 and then at 8 or 9. But I am very jealous of Jaimi! Yeah I read about all the sleep your getting lucky! Anyway... This past week was pretty hard because I had to work on Monday and be away from Brody all day :( But this weekend is going to be awesome!! It is my 22 birthday and Valentines day all at the same time. Patrick and I are going to the mountains for a romatic get away (with the baby of course)

Life update

Well it has been a busy past couple of weeks. Brody was blessed on the 4th of January by his dad. I am so glad to have a husband who is worthy to hold the priesthood and do that. Brody has also been very sick. He had a cold and was coughing like an 80 year old chain smoker. He also had thrush in his mouth. He is just now getting over them both and I am so glad. We had our 1 month appt. and he weighed 10lbs 3oz and was 22 inches long. The boy is definately growing! We went to our first movie last week (Marley and Me) and to my amazement he sat there for an hour and just watched the movie! Patrick has been hard at work and is the cutest thing I have ever seen when he plays with Brody. He has also been busy as the ward mission leader. The elders are doing well but the sisters are a little hard to motivate right now. Brody has started smiling and cooing like crazy and is so fun when he is awake. I got him on camera last night tooting in the tub which was hilarious. All you can see is little bubbles coming out. I will put in on here when I figure out how. He sleeps from about 10-4 and then 4-8, so we are getting pretty good sleep now. I've been trying to get rid of this baby weight which is turning out to be harder than I thought it would be. I've also been tanning a little because in the words of Reenie Gupton " the only thing worse than being fat is being white and fat" which I definately agree with. I've also been busy collecting coupons!! Thanks to my sister-in-laws. It is actually pretty fun but I have a lot to learn. Anyway I put a recent picture of Brody and my sister. She is definately in love.

New year...New blog

Hello! Everyone has been bugging me about getting a blog so I will give it a try. I'm guessing the only people who are going to look at this are people who already know me so there's not really a need to put too much about myself. My name is Jacque Thomas and I am happily married to the man of my dreams Patrick Thomas. He is my best friend and I wish everyone could have the relationship we have. We were married a year and a half ago in the Salt Lake Temple and we have a beautiful 7 week old little boy named Brody. He is amazing and has changed my life forever. I already can't imagine my life without him. I'm trying really hard to make the grammer and notations right on this post but that probably won't be the case later on. Anyway I want all of our family in Utah to know that we miss them and hope everything is going good. I will write more when more happens.
